The province of Manitoba will increase its minimum wage from $10.70 per hour to $11.00 per hour, making it the fourth highest in Canada.
Since 2000 the Manitoba government has raised the minimum wage every year in order to benefit workers and their families.
“Helping to put more money in the pockets of workers helps to keep our economy prosperous, so families can continue to build futures right here in Manitoba,” said Labour and Immigration Minister Erna Braun.
